Takasago Tekko K.K.
September 1932
The Shiga Factory of Takasago Tekko K.K. was established after succeeding the operations of Kuriyama Manufacturing Inc. (Otsu City) which manufactured steel hinges.
September 1943
The Shiga Factory changed its name to the Otsu Aircraft Factory and started component processing for aircraft.
March 1944
The Factory moved its site completely to Yagura, Kusatsu-cho. (Present Location)
August 1945
The Factory changed its name to the Kusatsu Factory after the War and started manufacturing operations for bicycles and their components.
March 1952
The Kusatsu Factory started manufacturing and sales of rims for two (2) wheeled vehicles.

March 1954
Kusatsu Factory of Takasago K.K. was separated and Takasago Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established.
November 1956
The company ceased production of rim for bicycles and concentrated mainly on rims for motorcycles.
December 1958
The company started production and sales of aluminum rims for two (2) wheeled vehicles.
January 1964
The company was appointed as “J.I.S.-Indicating Factory” for aluminum rims for two (2) wheeled vehicles.
April 1973
A new plant for aluminum rims for two (2) wheeled vehicles was completed.

The new molding plant was completed for two (2) wheeled vehicles.

The company started production and sales of colored rims for two (2) wheeled vehicles.

As a supplier of EXCEL products for motorcycles to all corners of the world, we will comply with all laws and regulations related to the environment, minimize the environmental impact of our business activities, and constantly make the following efforts in order to promote environmental protection activities.
In materials:Selection and design of materials, improvement of yield, and improvement of recycling rate.
In processing:Prevention of noise, reduction of processing energy, selection and reduction of processing sub-materials, prevention of spillage and diffusion of fats, oils, chemical substances, and dust, reduction of water usage and water quality conservation, prevention of soil pollution.
